Vineyards: The 2018 vintage saw a change in the concept of this Famiglia Malbec. Originally, 100 % of its grapes came from San Rafael, so the characteristics of this wine were speci_cally of that terroir. Today, we have taken a bold step and designed a wine that begins to show the amazing characteristics of di_erent terroirs. The result is a varietal Malbec that blends three terroirs of very di_erent characteristics, so the wine will show a fantastic combination of each valley, soil, and climate.
Tasting Notes
When poured, it has an intense, deep purplish color, characteristic of Malbecs. In the nose, we are delighted by its freshness, mineral notes and fruity intensity, particularly of ripe plums, cherries, and some spicy notes that the Malbec from San Rafael often has. There are also floral notes such as violets, very well blended with sweet accents of vanilla and chocolate from its oak aging.
It has a sweet start in the mouth --a characteristic of Malbecs-- accompanied by soft, ripe tannins that still persist but that are necessary for its evolution through time. Great acid balance in the mouth, complex, with the same fruity notes as in the nose. Very good _nish, balanced and elegant.
